Access or delete your data

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act, you can request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct errors. We also allow you to request deletion of your information at any time.

We respond to access requests within 45 days, as PIPA requires. Deletion requests are handled on the same timeline.

You can ask for either, or both

  • Delete my contact details. Removes your name, email and phone number. Your wage answers stay in the research data, no longer linked to either.
  • Delete everything. Removes your contact details and the wage answers from your session as well.

Both happen automatically in time anyway — contact details after 12 months, wage answers after 24 months. Asking just brings it forward.

How to make a request

Email the Privacy Officer and say which of the two you want. If you gave us contact details, send it from the address you gave us — it is the simplest way for us to be sure the request is yours.
